Mose Arabians essentially began when I was a little girl in total awe of these magnficent creatures.  I was enthralled with horses from my first words.  My father, the picture of a doting dad, got me a pony when I was almost 7 years old.  When we moved north to Chicago the next year - my love for horses never diminished and he sought out facilities for teaching horsemanship and riding skills.  I took huntseat and jumping lessons and occasionally western or saddleseat riding lessons at some of the finest facilities the Chicagoland had to offer - living only blocks from the Hancock Building and Lake Shore Drive - I had lots of time to book learn as well.  After a year of lessons and visiting horse shows and farms almost every weekend, we finally got serious about getting just the right horse.  A rather precocious youngster - I read the classifieds, every line - and found the ad I was looking for!  We had finally settled on Arabians from the friendly atmosphere at the horse shows we had attended.  We went to the historic Shilo Arabians and we came home proud owners of our first Arabian - way back in 1974!  There began my venture in life - a love affair with the Arabian horse that continues to this very day!

I started with Crabbet bred and domestic Arabians primarily and after 15 years drifted towards Egyptians after a gorgeous colt was born to an Egyptian-bred mare and our Crabbet bred stallion.  These mares seemed so willing to please and were so lovely that they impressed me enough to look toward Egyptian breeding when I decided to purchase another stallion in 1986.  In 1987, I purchased a gorgeous grey stallion of Straight Egyptian breeding by *Hatef out of Saida Bataa (Samim x *Binte El Bataa [x Nazeer]) named Ibn Hatef.  I learned later he was also Blue List, Al Khamsa, and Asil as well as pure in strain Saqlawi Jidran (Sudan). Wow - What a concept - I was hooked.  More bloodline history to learn -  study I did!  But as fate would have it, I lost that lovely animal in a tragic training accident and nearly got out of horses altogether at that time.  Ibn Hatef had had such a super personality I was sure I could never replace him.  I was wrong.

My whole life turned around.  The Lord entered my life.  I met my husband David.  I was continuing college and I survived a divorce from my first husband.  David and my faith got my life back on track - David's encouragement to not give up on my dreams got me looking again - and I found a half-brother to Ibn Hatef in Idaho - a liver chestnut colt out of an imported Malik daughter.  Hehtif moved to Michigan at 8 months old, bought sight unseen.  He has become my best buddy and the cornerstone of our program - the one I judge all others against!

Let the Lord guide your steps . . .

Our Goals?  The point of our breeding program?  You ask?  Well, let me explain...

Our stallions have been older foundation blood - rare and hard to find blood in fine individuals who have proven themselves as exemplary sires in their breeding careers.  You may see the boys here.  We have stood such wonderful stallions as the exquisite El Majiid - an own son of the legendary *Ansata Ibn Halima, a sire of champions of worldwide appeal - who just recently passed on, and  *Norus - a Marbach German import of whose success as a sire is historic worldwide with such noted champions as *Hadidi, El Norus, Noribba to name a few - who as life has it, has become unbreedable due to geriatric wobbles and recently passed on, and our own Hehtif - a champion siring champions with personality and athletic ability second to none.   It is hard to decide how  to continue or in what direction to go with the loss of our primary breeding stallions.  Luckily, we do have an up and coming young stallion, El Rashiid MA, who is among the best El Majiid has ever sired out of an own daughter of *El Mareekh!  His future is limitless... We continue to ask the Lord's guidance to bring us whatever we may need to go on for our next steps...the Lord's steps...

We are pleased to announce that Shais Legend (BLACK *Simeon Shai son) will be standing at Mose Arabians in 2006-7!!  New photos are up and available on the stallion page!!

Our broodmares include daughters of AK Bafadi and Hehtif at this time. See our girls here.  All our stock are Straight Egyptian and Al Khamsa bloodlines with some of the most revered foundation blood known to exist and we feel extremely fortunate to have such rare lines still available. We value our mare strains highly and feature a number of exceptional and rare strains - including Saqlawiyah-Jidraniyah, Dahmah-Shahwaniyah, Kuhaylah-Ajuz, Kuhaylah Jellabia, Hadbah Enzahiyah, and Abeyyan Umm Jurays.  We occasionally offer offspring of these rare and valuable mares to those seeking foundation breeding stock.

We breed our Egyptians with quality and disposition paramount in our choices.  Our prices are kept affordable to make these precious animals available to families within a budget!  We even market our client's horses FREE!!  We have clients worldwide and a strong appreciation for what we are trying to achieve - an affordable, high quality, family-oriented, athletic animal in a romantic, rare, and entirely Bedouin bred Arabian horse!  We breed horses to be successful in the showring or as companions in your backyard babysitting your kids!  Straight Egyptians can and do perform and can be far more than just halter horses!  Their people loving natures make them sensitive and loving animals that thrive on human attention and companionship.  If we do not have offered what you are seeking, we are more than willing to assist in locating your needs so don't hesitate to ask...

With the Lord in our hearts and our Egyptians by our sides, we will allow the Lord to guide our steps and decisions!  Our breeding program has been formed by the Lord's Hand and we will continue to follow His direction!  We invite your inquiry into the World of the Egyptian Horse - one that plays to the beat of a different drummer!
